Show Your Kids You Love Them This Valentine’s Day (or Anytime)

I published this last year in our monthly newsletter.  It applies this year too!  I would love to hear more ideas.  Please share some with us!
 
Love is in the air!  February is the perfect time to show your loved ones you care-this includes your kids.  The best part is that you don’t have to spend any money.  Here are some ideas for fun and simple ways to do something special for your kids.

1. Plan a one-on-one game time
   1. So if you have more than one kid, please plan different times
   2. Card games, board games, HORSE, etc
   3. Pick something your kid really likes (even if it is not your favorite)
2. Write them a note
   1. For younger kids, you can draw a picture
   2. Tell them some things you love about them
   3. Tell them a favorite memory you have of them
3. Go through photos together of them growing up
   1. Make a collage
4. Plan a scavenger hunt
   1. This can be around the house or neighborhood
   2. Google ideas
5. Have a family movie night with an old classic (like watched Holiday Inn, the old Annie)
   1. Provide some popcorn
