Attending therapy is a step in enhancing and developing a positive self-image for individuals, couples, and families. The therapeutic process is designed to increase personal awareness. This initially may be emotionally painful, and cause feelings of anxiety, frustration, or depression, as your concerns are being thoroughly explored and working towards resolution. This is an expected part of therapy and is not an indication of lack of progress. Seeking to resolve issues between family members, partners, and other persons can similarly lead to discomfort, as well as relationship changes that may not be originally intended. It is our sincere belief that therapy can enable clients to improve their relationships with others as well as a relationship with the self.
