Robert is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and minors in both Sociology and Child & Family Development. Robert then attended Missouri State University where he received his Masters of Science in Professional Counseling. In 2019, Robert became a certified Wellness Coach in the State of Missouri.
Robert has worked in the Mental Health field for over 13 years in various positions from Behavioral Health Technician, Child Abuse and Neglect Investigator, Support Manager working with those with developmental disabilities and being a Lead Crisis Intervention Clinician at a local Crisis and National Suicide Lifeline. Robert has also worked with individuals in their home as an Integrated Health Specialist assisting clients in reaching their goals and providing therapeutic intervention to progress through their personal struggles. Finally, as a School Based Therapist, Robert brought his compassion and helping nature to work with children who struggle from a wide variety of issues that get in the way of not only their education but from their ability to just be a kid. Robert is also skilled in Crisis Intervention and working with individuals who struggle with different forms of trauma and suicidal ideations. Robert has completed extensive trainings including Zero Suicide and Trauma Informed Care. Robert is comfortable and knowledgeable working with individuals whose quality of life suffers from these ideations and previous trauma. Robert is an easy going and welcoming individual who provides a warm, laid-back environment for those he works with. He utilizes many approaches in his treatment and provides the best care based on the current needs of each individual he sees. Robert’s wide range of knowledge, experience and education make him a well-rounded and compassionate therapist whose goal is to help everyone live and experience their best life. Robert’s hobbies include enjoying swimming, listening to a wide variety of music, walking his dog, watching sports and spending time with his family. |
