Megan received a Master's Degree in Counseling at Maryville University. She completed her undergrad at Maryville University and received a double bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology with a Rehabilitation minor.
Megan graduated from the Master's program in Counseling at Maryville University in 2021 as a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC). She has passed the National Counselors Exam and is targeted to be become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in August of 2023. Megan's goal is to help families, individuals and adolescents, and she is excited to work with the counselors at Sandhill and gain experience with individual, group and family counseling. Through her time as a Psych Rehab Specialist at The Independence Center, she gained experience by assisting adult clients with serious and persistent mental illness to live and work in the community by providing rehabilitation services to help them reach their educational, social, housing and life goals. Megan was responsible for: • Creating and developing goals with clients that were attainable and measurable • Developing, monitoring and updating client treatment plans to meet their goals • Maintaining regular contact with clients through daily meetings and activities and documenting their progress • Providing client interventions that pertained to their goals, such as job skills training and time management assistance • Providing clients with resources and referrals to obtain employment, housing and life assistance Through her time as a Citizen Deputy Juvenile Officer with the St. Louis County Family Court, she helped adolescents with self-esteem, behavioral issues, oppositional defiance, social and school issues. Megan helped them achieve their personal goals for becoming a constructive member of society. |
