McKenna graduated from Syracuse University with her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy and a CAS in Trauma. She moved to Saint Louis to pursue her Ph.D in Medical Family Therapy at Saint Louis University.

McKenna seeks to help individuals and couples understand how our brains really work for and against us, empowering clients to develop new skills and strategies to make the changes in their lives they are looking for.  McKenna’s therapy style focuses on building skills and tools in the therapy room that can be brought into and applied to a client's real life.

​Prior to changing her career and becoming a therapist, McKenna grew up in California and has spent most of her adult life in Los Angeles and New York.  She had a successful career as an executive in finance and technology and enjoyed writing for publications. A lifelong nerd, her hobbies include reading and video games.
