I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Louis University in 2012. After two years of working in hospital settings, I began working towards my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University, which I completed in 2019.
I believe that wonderful things can happen when we feel safe, validated, and connected to those around us. My goal is to provide that environment for every client I work with. I aim to work alongside my clients to help them better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as how they can begin to live a life that they find fulfilling. My passion is helping clients feel empowered, especially during those times when life feels really hard. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which helps individuals learn coping skills that can be incorporated into their daily lives to help them reduce high levels of emotion, reduce impulsive decisions and actions, improve relationships, and be more mindful of the present moment. I understand that beginning therapy can often feel overwhelming and will work with my clients to ensure that their treatment plan is individually tailored to meet their goals. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. I also enjoy reading, baking, trying new restaurants, and attending concerts and comedy shows. |
